The Chapter of Chambers walks through Sūrah al-Ḥujurāt one verse at a time. It sets out how the classical scholars explained each verse, then brings its guidance home: to how we speak, how we listen, how we handle news, and how we treat each other.

Sūrah al-Ḥujurāt · 49:2
Verse 49:2
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
“O those who have believed, do not raise your voices higher than the voice of the Prophet, and do not shout to him loudly as is the shouting of some of you to others lest your deeds go in vain whilst you are unaware.”
ENGLISH: THE CHAPTER OF CHAMBERS
These words are written in gold above the Prophet’s ﷺ chamber in Madinah. The sūrah takes its name from these chambers.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِن جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ أَن تُصِيبُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بِجَهَـٰلَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَـٰدِمِينَ
“O those who have believed, when a transgressor comes to you with a report, then investigate – lest you harm a people based on ignorance thence you become, over what you have done, remorseful.”

About the author
Muftī Sayyid ʿAbdul Ṣamad al-Qādirī
Muftī Sayyid ʿAbdul Ṣamad al-Qādirī was born and raised in Maryland. He studied in Houston, Texas, under Muftī Faizān al-Muṣṭafā al-Qādrī, grandson of Sayyidunā Ṣadr al-Sharīʿah, and earned the titles of ʿĀlim, Fāḍil, and Qārī.
He holds an ijāzah in Ḥadīth from al-Muḥaddith al-Kabīr and was granted khilāfah by Muftī ʿAsjad Raḍā Khān al-Qādrī. The scholars and public of Maryland appointed him Chief Qāḍī of the state.
He founded Muslim Dreamers, the publisher of this book, and travels across the country teaching and giving lectures.
